Although it seems counterintuitive in today's world of wanting to "make millions", Svelte's vision is to remain a perpetual small business. 

Why?

Because it's our mission to proactively and selectively create a network of reputable and trustworthy small businesses that are created from former Svelte employees.  These former Svelte employees have mastered the Svelte way of successfully managing programs and effectively leading people and as a result were rewarded with an opportunity to break away and to take their hard work with them. 

This learning process and "break away" will not happen overnight, but Svelte will be the catalyst to allowing entrepreneurial employees the place to grow and learn as progressively increased responsibilities are offered to them during their tenure.  We will cultivate strong and effective leaders by encouraging entrepreneurial spirit, by providing resources and opportunities to learn, and by financially rewarding their successes. 

How do we do that? 

We first start out by mentoring Project Leads by educating and teaching them to be successful Program Managers and Business Developers.  (Have you ever noticed "great" Program Managers seem to grow their projects and teams with seemingly little effort?  That's not an accident and we recognize that.)  Elite Program Managers, the ones that "float to the top", are easy to identify.  These are the successful Svelte entrepreneurs of tomorrow.   We will continue to educate and mentor these Elite Program Managers by offering them increased responsibilities which will allow them to become knowledgeable and successful Svelte executive managers.

What do we mean when we say employees will be financially rewarded?

When ANY Svelte employee brings in additional revenue, they will be a direct recipient of Profit Sharing of that profit. The more successful they are, the more they share in the wealth of their success!  As they gain education and experience in managing and leading within Svelte, that amount will naturally grow.

But the growing doesn't stop there as this is where Svelte creates that tight network of reputable small businesses.  At a predetermined "exit point", these Svelte executive managers will then be allowed to graduate from Svelte by "buying" their team and/or contract(s) away from Svelte to establish an immediately successful business for themselves.  These "buy outs" will keep Svelte a perpetually small business, but continually growing in profit and strategic alliances of small businesses that were homegrown and nurtured.

So although it is sad to prune back a beautiful producing plant, the pruning results in stronger roots and stems that promote even more beautiful and productive blooms the following year. 

We like to think of Svelte as an Incubator for "Float to the Top" Leaders who we grow to become successful and reputable Entrepreneurs with a strong connection to Svelte.  We allow them to do this while they are doing their "day job" in commitment to the nation's defense.
